The Annual Bramble Ramble 5K Trail Run/Walk & Annual Michael J. Seaman Memorial 10K Run is held the third Saturday in September on MCC's Sidney campus.ÌýThe Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails offer more than four miles of trails, which are marked with numbered trail posts and maps are available at most major trail heads. The course is a mix of flat, wide trails and narrow, wooded hills; pavement; and open fields. All proceeds from the race benefit MCC’s Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails for improvement, community outreach and education.Ìý

The Montcalm Community College Nature Trails Committee’s 10th annual Bramble Ramble 5K Trail Run/Walk and 7th Annual Michael J. Seaman Memorial 10K Run is Saturday, September 20 on the college’s Sidney campus. The 10K begins at 9 a.m., the 5KÌýbegins at 9:30 a.m. (dogs welcome). Ìý
You can register in advance ($20 per participant) by visiting (closing Sept. 17) or you may register the day of the event ($25 per participant) beginning at 8 a.m. until 15 minutes before the start of your event (cash or check only if registering at the event). New event details this year:
- New Exercise Science Feedback – The MCC Exercise Science program will be offering free health and fitness screenings such as body composition and blood hemoglobin assessments before and after the race.Ìý
- New Eco-Friendly Perks – As part of our renewed sustainability pledge, we're eliminating single-use plastics and providing every participant with a collapsible silicone cup—a small change that makes a meaningful difference for the trails we love. Thank you to Heather Coe, owner of The Barefoot Dragon Yoga Studio, for sponsoring the reusable cups!
- Shirts That Move with You – This year’s event tee has been upgraded to a moisture-wicking, athletic-grade fabric, designed to keep you cool and comfortable whether you're walking or racing. It’s your choice to order a shirt for $25 during the registration process.ÌýÌý
- Fan-Raffle-tastic! – We're hosting a raffle for race participants with exciting items, including amazing homemade furniture, up for grabs. Thank you to Ken Lehman for donating his hand crafted furniture.
- Outstanding Prizes – As always, we’ll honor overall and age-category winners with unique, standout awards that reflect the spirit of the event. All participants will receive a medal and their choice of event stickers. Thank you to Cheryl Meyer for sponsoring the the top awards for each race!
